'The Ideas Express'

The cultural landscape of Butetown is steeped in creative history that includes grassroots artists / collectives and, over the past decade, has also seen larger arts organisations set down their roots here too. The local community of Butetown has a rich and celebrated cultural heritage, often reflected in the diversity of cultures that have settled here. The Ideas Exchange is an evening that looks to establish and identify a new creative community. We hope to offer a supportive atmosphere in which artists, groups, amateurs and semi-professionals will be encouraged to collaborate, share ideas and look for opportunities to embark on collective working. In the long-term we hope to be able to establish a network of artists offering a platform to promote the skill set of artists living in Butetown The evening will include performances, light refreshments and will open new doors to new opportunities.
